Transformers is my most recent special interest! This interest was sparked shortly before the end of my final semester of grad school. For me, special interests often form during a stressful period of my life, and they continue on past when those stressors are no longer the biggest fish to fry.
I don't exactly remember why I was initially interested in learning about Transformers. Somehow, I learned about the absolute genius of G1 Soundwave and his cassetticons. I was absolutely enraptured by this concept, and used the excitement sparked by learning more about them to fuel completing my final assignments. Since I did graduate, I can say that this was very successful!
I do remember watching at least the first two Bay movies around the time that they came out, if not the first three. I remember watching them at home, but also one of my childhood best friends liked them quite a bit so I may have seen some with her..?
When The Hub network premiered, I also remember interacting a bit with Transformers Prime, but mostly just tangentially to MLP: FiM.
I definitely have a long list of silly robots that I just can't get enough of! It's impossible to order them, but at the very least I will try to explain some of the reasons I like them.
LITERALLY SO COOL and as I mentioned before, the "spark" of my Transformers obsession (get it?). He is just soooo cool, y'all!! I love almost every version of him. Even the Bay version is cool, just not how I personally prefer Soundwave.
I'm one of those annoying people who feels like G1 Soundwave either is seen as a father figure by his cassettes or like their "Boss"(affectionate). He's so silly. I love that he can just shrink to be so tiny. I love that he has a cool modulates voice. I love that he is the most loyal Decepticon.
